JES-PTO

The PTO meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the JES Room 209 from September to April. The first meeting of the school year will take place in September. Its purpose is to introduce incoming members and review the calendar of events.

The final meeting of the year is used to set the calendar for the next school year, assign committee chairs, and decide how to use fundraising dollars. This includes creating a calendar of JES PTO-sponsored events, which is submitted to the district so PTO events are included in the district calendar.

The PTO typically does not meet during the summer. However, special sessions may be held to plan and coordinate beginning-of-year activities.

Every parent, guardian, adult family member, teacher, or staff member who is interested in helping our school grow and prosper is welcome and encouraged to participate as much as they can.

Attendance is not required, but participation is encouraged. Attending meetings helps parents and guardians stay informed about school happenings, programs, resources, and needs. Your voice helps guide important decisions that improve the school experience for all students.

Meetings typically include reports on upcoming events and activities, as well as teacher requests for funds to support and enhance student experiences.

PTO Officer positions are two-year terms. Officers are voted in during the April general PTO meeting, and all interested parties are welcome to attend.
